foodManitoba is an organization focused on promoting local food producers in the province. After carefully listening to their vision for their new logo project, it became clear that they needed to portray their intended function, but not appear too traditional or stuffy. Three options were created for consideration ranging from more traditional to a clean, light-hearted approach.
The audience for the logo is often urban and a savvy consumer, so the final selection was the more contemporary approach. The shape of the province is very apparent and coupling that with the bite conveys their function clearly while simultaneously instilling an informal and upbeat spirit to the identity. The result is a simple graphic that is easily applied across all media and conveys their message memorably.
