Once in a while projects come along that you just relish sinking your teeth into. Video games are fun to play and to make. In this venture we had to illustrate energy savings to kids through a video game format.

Manitoba Hydro suggested a concept in line with the existing game Angry Birds that I’m sure most of you are familiar with. We took that idea, made the launcher a caulking gun and started tearing the house apart to reveal the energy savings.

I was responsible for all the art in the game as well as helping to massage the mechanics and interface flow. The programming was capably completed by Stefan Embleton and the game has been well loved by the client and people who’ve played it.
