The Friends of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) is the CMHR fundraising arm. They needed a gift that they could present to significant contributors to the approval and launch of the Museum. The object needed to be unique and signify the Museum’s appreciation of their participation.
The look and feel of the object needed to be dignified and sophisticated. An image of Bill C-42, which launched the construction of the project, was requested as part of the design. The pin that was developed for CMHR was able to be incorporated as well.
The final design was worked through and approved and the gift was sent out to 25 individuals who had a prominent hand in seeing the CMHR dream become reality, including Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Manitoba Premier Gary Doer, and other dignitaries.
